A Letter from Bishop Gaspar Anastasi of Word of Life Ministries

My name is Bishop Gaspar Anastasi and I am the pastoral overseer and spiritual covering for STFV.  I have been overseeing this tremedous work since God birthed this vision in the heart of Pastor PJ Anastasi in March of 2006.  I have seen it grow from just a one night youth concert to what I believe is part of God's end time strategy to reach the church of america and the nations.   I have been so very blessed to see what great stewards the STFV team has been with the vision for STFV and also in their continual pursuit to please the heart of our heavenly father.  Since 2006, I have personally attended each STFV and can attest to the growing numbers of salvations, healings, deliverances and outpourings of the Holy Spirit as the team lays down their lives to allow him to colabor through them.  I envision even greater exploits will be accomplished as the glorious return of our Lord and Savior grows nearer and nearer.  I affirm that the word being preached is sound doctrine, according to the Holy Bible and the genuine desire of all involved is to see the Kingdom of God advanced.

Word Of Life is a full gospel Christian church embracing people of every race and nation, and we strive to continually be on the cutting edge of what God is doing in this hour. Throughout our history, we have moved strongly in inner healing, helping real people with real problems find real answers. Word Of Life is definitely not church as usual!

Word Of Life started over 25 years ago in an old movie theater in Freeport, New York, a village on the south shore of Long Island. Gaspar Anastasi was a young, newly ordained pastor with zero experience. But the one thing he and his wife Michele did have was an unquenchable passion for Jesus that has been the earmark of Word of Life Church throughout it's history. It is a passion to see the Kingdom of God advance in our communities, our nation and in our own personal lives. 

God gave Pastor Anastasi a vision that reaches beyond the church’s four walls. His vision was to go to the streets and preach to the drug addicts, prostitutes and homeless. Word Of Life Church has taken the message to the community through street rallies, tent outreaches, the New Life Centers, door-to-door and street evangelism, food and clothing bank, “God Has the Answer” television and radio broadcasts, home and hospital visits, Care Groups, Bible Education Center, Christian Academy, Global Leaders Fellowship International, our Conference Center and our outreaches to Israel.

Over the years, we’ve seen God dramatically change individuals and entire cities. When Word Of Life started, Freeport was overrun with racism, drugs and prostitution. People didn’t want to pass through the village, much less live there. The Freeport of today is a thriving village, and it can’t build homes fast enough to accommodate all the people wanting to move there. People of every race come together to worship. Drug addicts and alcoholics are set free. Families are restored. What God has done in Freeport is a miracle. What God has done through Word Of Life is definitely not church as usual!
